Improve Employee Performance Idea 1 — JUNE 5, 2008: 3 Ways To Explain To Employees How Giving Great Customer Service Increases Customer Cooperation

Getting customers to cooperate is especially important when problems occur.  Explain to employees how great customer service can impact what customers say and do.

Reason 1: Customers may be more willing to accept recommendations or solutions

Reason 2: Customers may be more willing to quickly provide requested information

Reason 3: Customers may be more willing to allow ‘a longer period of time’ to resolve problems or receive information

KEY REMINDER:  To improve employee performance, you have to conduct effective performance discussions, give effective performance feedback, reinforce employee performance, and use effective performance phrases to write effective performance appraisals.
